Happy Holidays Everyone!
Today we went to a new dog store in Lincoln Square, Sit. I took my annual holiday photo with Santa Paws. They were very nice and gave me many cookies. Thanks, Sit! Best of luck!

The Perfect Party Guest
Last week was Cindy's birthday. We had a party at the house in Michigan and I was the guest of honor. Kind of. There were almost 50 people in the house but I maintained my cool. Kind of. I mingled among the guests, made new friends and enjoyed old ones. Here's me eagerly awaiting our company.
On Monday I started a four week Sit, Stay, Read program at The New City YMCA. It was scary at first, but the kids were nice to me and I enjoyed the cheese treats I got when I listened to them read. It's a win-win: they learn to read, thanks to me (kind of) and I get cheese! Plus I get the satisfaction of a job well done. What else could a dog ask for in life?

Sunday, June 6th, was my third birthday. I celebrated with a romp on the beach in Michigan and a small gathering of friends at home in Chicago later.

I'm the star of the Cartoon of the Week on MK's website! When my week in the limelight draws to a close, I'll post the cartoon on my site.

Today was a very big day for me - all my training has lead to this! I had my first experience as a Sit Stay Read therapy dog. I went to the Catherine Cook School where the class of 14 kindergarten kids were very considerate of my nervousness about being the new kid. I obeyed every command I was given - I was on my best behavior! Some of the moms and teachers were taking my picture, and then when we all finished reading, we took pictures with all the kids and the dogs. Everyone said after it was over that I did very well. I really enjoyed the kids reading to me. Who knew the world of literacy could be so fun?
